The Future of Higher Education with William Fenton

William Fenton, our guest this episode, has over 16 years of experience working in higher education, including as the Director of Graduate Recruitment for Drexel University’s School of Engineering and the Assistant Director of Admissions for the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Master’s in Higher Education at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education.

In this episode, William Fenton talks us through the changes that we have been witnessing in the college admission space since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, we speak about the importance of finding ‘the right fit’ when it comes to applying to colleges and universities rather than focusing on rankings.

This interview is part of the The Future of Higher Education podcast. In the Test-Optional Admissions series, we discuss the implications of the growing number of test-optional colleges and universities in the United States, as well as the general state of college admissions today. Stay tuned for more interviews with seasoned admissions professionals on The Future of Higher Education podcast.

*Please note that in this podcast, it is mistakenly mentioned that the SAT/ACT is no longer sharing racial data for test takers. It is, in fact, the Collegeboard that is no longer sharing racial data in regards to those taking AP exams.
