Suhani Jain, a high school student at Step By Step School in India, is keenly interested in unravelling the psychology behind people’s economic behaviour. To nurture this passion, she enrolled in the Microeconomics online course offered by Yale University. This course gave her valuable insights into the fundamental economic tools used to analyse resource allocation at the individual and market levels and the design and evaluation of related public policies.
Additionally, Suhani joined the Ivy Early Entrepreneur program, where she acquired essential entrepreneurial skills and familiarity with successful businesses’ marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement. Suhani initiated a project focused on Digital India to assess the extent of digitalization in India. She surveyed to gain insights into the challenges faced by individuals who encounter difficulties with technology or lack access to it.
As part of the CCIR Academy, Suhani conducted a research project titled “The Extent of Consumer Commitment to Sustainability in the Indian Diamond Market.” Her research explores behavioural economics and seeks to understand the consumer perspective regarding sustainability within the luxury diamond market in India.
In a recent episode of CCIR Academy Student Spotlights, Suhani shared her insights from her research journey while expressing her appreciation for the support provided by her professor and the CCIR Academy throughout her research endeavours.
