Tarang Pande, a high school student at Kinnelon High School in New Jersey, is keenly interested in computers and technology. He participated in the GenCyber 2022 Camp, organised by the U.S. National Security Agency, and is an active High School Technology Association Club member. Currently, his focus shifted towards app development and programming, creating several apps using different coding styles on the website Code.org.
As part of the CCIR Academy, Tarang embarked on a research project titled “Detection of Heart Sound Abnormality using Phonocardiogram Signals.” His research revolves around applying machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to analyse and identify heart sound anomalies captured by phonocardiogram signals. This research aims to develop a system or model capable of automatically detecting irregularities in heart sounds, which can serve as potential indicators of various cardiac conditions or diseases.
Tarang openly shares his research journey and experiences in an episode of CCIR Academy Student Spotlights, providing valuable insights into his work. He engages in knowledge exchange and thoughtful discussions about AI and machine learning.
