Ali Bosca, a Year 11 student at Üsküdar American Academy in Turkey, is an exceptional individual with an impressive academic record and a profound passion for economics. Prior to CCIR, Ali attended summer school at the University of Chicago, Brown University, and Columbia University. He participated in the Boston Consulting Group’s Bruce Henderson Summer Programme in London, where he collaborated with the BCG Digital Ventures team on a project pitch that explored the utilisation of metaverse technology for education.
Ali has been recognised with several national awards, including the Treasurer of the National Honor Society for demonstrating excellence in scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Engaging in community service, Ali contributed to the Peer-to-Peer Turkey Project, facilitating voluntary education between Üsküdar American Academy students and underprivileged 8th-grade Turkish students. Additionally, Ali joined Leafy, a project centred around recycling textile waste in the textile industry.
At CCIR Academy, Ali pursued a research project titled “Behavioral and Network Analysis of Political Campaign Strategies.” His project involved constructing a synthetic network simulating a small town with 100 nodes, manipulating proximity and edges to model the impact of changing political propaganda. Ali explored the effectiveness of different strategies under varying conditions, providing valuable insights into political campaign dynamics.
In an episode of CCIR Academy Student Spotlights, Ali shares his research insights and expresses gratitude for the unwavering support he received from his professor and the CCIR Academy throughout his research journey.
