Nivashini Nattudurai, a student at James Logan High School in the USA, has achieved recognition for her accomplishments. She has excelled in school public speaking contests, narrative writing competitions, art contests, and computer programming fairs. Notably, Nivashini secured 3rd place in the MIT BeaverWorks CubeSat Challenge in 2022, participated in UC Berkeley’s ATDP program for Advanced Biotechnology, and earned the 4th position twice in the Alameda County Science Fair.
In addition to her academic achievements, Nivashini developed and taught a 6-week writing class, focusing on essay writing for students. She serves as the President of the Audacity Academy club, engaging in tutoring and community service projects.
Nivashini’s research paper, titled “Classifying Schizophrenia Disorder through EEG Signal Analysis and Machine Learning,” has been accepted at the MIT Undergraduate Research Technology Conference’s Lightning Talks (MIT URTC 2023) in Massachusetts. This conference, operated by a dedicated cohort of MIT students in partnership with the IEEE, features diverse activities, including student-led paper and poster presentations, talks by industry pioneers, and networking opportunities.
