High School Student Researcher Saif on his Journey from International Olympiads to Mathematical Researcher

At CCIR, Saif conducts a research project exploring the nature of mathematics, with a focus on its objectivity, subjectivity, and abstraction through the lens of logic and philosophy. Specifically, he investigates the concept of mathematical truths and their relationship to Gödel’s incompleteness theorems.

Saif Abd El-Fattah is a talented student with exceptional skills in mathematics and physics. He has proudly represented his country at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO’21) and achieved the finalist status in the Egyptian Mathematics Olympiad. In addition, he has also received recognition for his excellence in physics by securing the 3rd place award in the Egyptian Physics Olympiad. Saif’s ingenuity and dedication to scientific research were evident in his impressive hands-on project, which earned him a finalist spot at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.

In CCIR Academy Student Spotlights, Saif shares his perspective on mathematics and research, including how his research project has shaped his understanding of these topics. Through his discussion, Saif aims to provide insights into how his project has helped him view mathematics from a fresh and unique perspective.
