Keeren’s Indonesian Education System Research
Keeren’s project is titled “From Nationalism to Globalization: Tracing the Changes in the Indonesian Education System Through Social Science Textbooks.”
Her research examines Year 9 social science textbooks from 2013 and 2018. She investigates the values and narratives promoted by the Indonesian government through these textbooks.
Through this comparison, Keeren aims to identify areas for curriculum improvement. Her work also explores how educational materials may reinforce harmful narratives over time.
