High School Student Researcher Amish on The Realpolitik of Belarusian Foreign Policy

Amish Gupta is a dedicated and driven Year 11 high school student at Overseas Family School in Singapore. In 2022, Amish delivered a thought-provoking speech on “The Paradox of Purpose” as a TedX Youth speaker, exploring how existential nihilism can enrich our lives with meaning. He also emerged as a top 16 finalist at the prestigious Harvard Debating WorldCup in the same year, showcasing his exceptional rhetorical skills.

Besides his outstanding academic record, Amish has been actively involved in extracurricular activities. In 2020, he was among the 3.9% of applicants accepted to the Harvard Youth Lead the Change (YLC) conference. He received a Best Delegate Award at the OFS Model United Nations (MUN) in 2019, and a Certificate of Excellence for Commendable Diplomacy at ALMA College – MUN.

At CCIR Academy, Amish undertook a research project titled “The Realpolitik of Belarusian Foreign Policy: Artfully Treading a Tightrope,” centred around the foreign policy of Belarus. During a recent CCIR Academy Student Spotlights episode, Amish shared his invaluable insights on the research and credited the unwavering support and guidance from his professor and the CCIR academy for his successful research journey.
