Ishaanee Roy is a passionate and determined year 10 student at Mahindra International School in Pune, India. She possesses a strong interest in various topics, including genetics, diseases, brain functions, and the impact of climate change on ecosystems. Prior to CCIR, She completed a climate change course at Harvard C-Change School of Public Health and the MIT App Inventor course at MIT, which allowed her to explore the potential intersection of science and technology in addressing global challenges.
Ishaanee’s academic achievements reflect her dedication to learning. She has participated in Olympiads (IMO, NSO, NCO, IGKO, IEO) and Asset exams (Science, Math, English) since the 5th grade. Additionally, she excelled in the Intelligence Plus Innoventure competition where she became a “National Finalist” with an all-India rank of 12 in 2020.
At CCIR Academy, Ishaanee pursued a research project titled “Investigating mecA gene frequency in MRSA isolates from varied geographical locations.” Her research focused on examining the prevalence of the mecA gene in MRSA isolates from different countries.
