Kaan Sen, a high school student from TEV Inanc Turkes High School in Turkey, has always been passionate about learning. Besides his academic excellence, he has actively participated in Model United Nations (MUN) and has earned the GCAMUN Honourable Delegate award.
He has also contributed to the TEDx club, IMC Public Relations (Inanc Mechatronics Club), and the school’s robotics IMC. His involvement extends to various FIRST competitions (FLL, FRC, FTC), where he not only competes but also plays a role in promoting FIRST and encouraging more students to pursue STEM subjects. Additionally, Kaan serves as a UNESCO campus spokesperson for the “Is Technology Serving Us?” conference.
In the CCIR Academy, Kaan conducted a research project titled “Tanzimat Westernization to Raimondo D’aronco’s Architecture: Examination of the Effects of the Architectural Innovations on Istanbul between 1876 and 1922 in the Scope of Art Nouveau.” This research investigates how architectural changes during this period reflect broader societal and artistic shifts in Istanbul. In essence, the paper delves into the architectural transformations considering Westernization, Raimondo D’aronco’s influence, and the overarching aesthetic context of Art Nouveau.
Kaan’s commitment to his research journey is evident in his recent appearance on CCIR Academy Student Spotlights, where he shared insights and expressed gratitude for the unwavering support provided by his professor and the CCIR Academy throughout his research endeavours.
