At CCIR, we are trying to make our professor-led research mentorship opportunities accessible to as many talented students as possible.
Since CCIR Academy’s inception, we have ensured that the CCIR Merit Scholarship will be automatically considered for every applicant without a separate application process. The CCIR Merit Scholarship allows the majority of the admitted students to receive a small grant that correlates to their academic position in the admissions pool. In Spring round of 2023, about 45% of admitted students received some level of the merit scholarship.
On top of that, we have been using the remainder of our scholarship pool to provide need-aware Financial Aid to students from around the world under a certain household income threshold.
However, sometimes we regret to see that many strong applicants – after spending countless hours preparing their applications, attending interviews, anxiously awaiting for the admission decisions – have to forgo this opportunity due to financial constraints.
Starting in Fall 2023, we are happy to announce that we are taking a big step in making our valuable research opportunities more accessible. Everyone’s needs are different when it comes to paying for their tuition. By partnering with PayPal Business, CCIR now offers three flexible installment options for admitted students to complete their tuition:
Pay in Four
Complete the tuition in four installments over 2 months. No interest, late fees, transaction fees, or impact to credit score.
PayPal Credit
Complete the tuition over 6 months. No interest (if paid in full in six months) and transaction fees. Late fee applies if minimum payment is not paid. Subject to credit approval.
Pay Monthly
Complete the tuition over 6 to 24 months with interest. No late fees and transaction fees. Subject to credit approval.
Please note that all installment options are operated by PayPal and their banking partners, who will automatically determine eligibility, APR, and other details for each user. Some options may be subject to credit approval and additional interests set out by PayPal and its partnering banks.
Currently, the installment options are only available for the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Some options may not be available to every user.
