Kunwho Park is a student at Canford School in England. He has achieved strong results in several mathematics competitions. In 2024, he won a Bronze Medal in the Maclaurin Mathematical Olympiad. He also earned Gold in the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge.
In 2023, Kunwho received Merit and Best in School in the British Mathematical Olympiad Round 1. He also earned Gold and Best in Year in the Senior Mathematical Challenge.
These achievements reflect his analytical and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, he has applied these skills to scientific research. His work explores antimicrobial resistance and the genetic mechanisms behind it.
Kunwho’s research paper, Fluoroquinolone Resistance in Salmonella typhi: Analysis of qnrABS Resistance Genes, was accepted for presentation at Cell Bio 2024. The American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) and the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) jointly organised the conference.
Cell Bio 2024 brings together researchers from institutions around the world. For example, participants include scientists from the National Institutes of Health, the University of Cambridge, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of California, Berkeley. The conference provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss developments in cell biology.
Congratulations to Kunwho on this achievement!
