Kari Maxian on Histone Modifications in Gene Expression

At CCIR Academy, Kari is currently conducting her research project about histone modifications’ role in epigenetics and gene expression. In this podcast, she will discuss her on-going investigation of how different kinds of histone modifications (changes in the proteins that package DNA) interact with gene expression because of their ability to promote or suppress transcription, as well as how they function as a key part of epigenetics.
