High School Student Researcher Aadi on Bioinformatics Analysis of the Interactions of Mutant p5

Aadi Desai, a student at Navrachana School Sama in India, excels in biology and harbours a keen interest in space exploration. He has earned accolades such as the Medal of Distinction and Excellence and the International Topper Spell Bee award. Notably, he ranked among the top 10 in India for SpellBee in 2015-16 and was recognised as the Best Speaker at AVV MUN 2023.

In the CCIR Academy, Aadi pursued a research project titled “A Bioinformatics Analysis of the Transcription Interactions of Mutant p5.” The research project involves utilising bioinformatics techniques to analyse how a mutant form of the protein p5 influences gene expression and transcriptional regulation. By computationally analysing genomic data, the research aims to identify target genes, transcription factors, and regulatory elements associated with the mutant p5 protein.

Aadi’s recognition in the CCIR Academy underscores his commitment to research, with gratitude for the support provided by his professor and the CCIR Academy.
