Pratyush Singhal is a student at Neerja Modi School in India. He has earned several awards in mathematics. For example, he won a Silver Medal in the Singapore Mathematics Competition. He also placed in the top 5% in the American Mathematics Competition 10. In addition, he secured All India Rank 3 in the American Invitational Mathematics Examination.
Pratyush has also achieved success in engineering. He earned a silver badge at the World Robotics Olympiad. His project proposed a way to transport ships over elevated terrain using water-level control chambers. Furthermore, he reached the top 12 in the India Innovation Challenge. There, he designed a solar-powered desk that provides shade, electricity, and lighting for school fields.
Pratyush’s research paper, Advanced Sentiment Classification and Topic Modelling on Indian Union Budget 2024, has been accepted for presentation at the IEEE International Conference on Semantic Computing (ICSC 2025).
His study uses sentiment classification and topic modelling to analyse the Indian Union Budget 2024. Specifically, it examines themes and sentiments in complex financial and policy-related text. These computational methods offer a way to study large amounts of policy information.
