Ashvik Raina is a student at Foothill High School in Pleasanton, United States. He has explored artificial intelligence through several programmes. These include the Harvard Ventures Tech Summer Programme and the Harvard AI Bootcamp. During these programmes, he developed projects such as an AI-powered stock value predictor.
Ashvik also founded 0db.ai. The initiative aims to build an AI-based support system for teenage mental health. It uses technologies such as computer vision and natural language processing.
At the CCIR Academy, Ashvik researched emotion detection using machine learning. His paper, Leveraging Machine Learning and Feature Extraction from Physiological Signals for Emotion Detection, was accepted at the 28th SPA Conference (Signal Processing: Algorithms, Architectures, Arrangements, and Applications).
His study explores how machine learning can analyse physiological signals to identify emotional states. By extracting relevant features from these signals, the research examines ways to classify emotions.
The 28th SPA Conference provides an international platform for research in signal processing. It brings together researchers and professionals to share new developments. In addition, peer-reviewed contributions appear in the conference proceedings.
Congratulations to Ashvik on this achievement!
