Jasmine Li is a student at Jericho Senior High School in New York. She is a member of both the National Honor Society and the French Honor Society, and has completed a fiction writing master class through the Columbia Pre-College Program. In Year 10, she founded DreaminGirlz, a nonprofit organisation that supports girls who lack access to education, funded through scholarships she has earned in competitions. Jasmine also serves as an editor for her school magazine.
Jasmine’s research paper, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie (2023): A Commercial Product or Feminist Masterpiece?, has been accepted for presentation at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR 2025). Her research examines Greta Gerwig’s Barbie (2023), exploring the film’s relationship between commercial interests and feminist themes.
The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR 2025) offers students a platform to present their research, scholarship, and creative work. The conference also supports students in developing key academic and professional skills through engagement with research and the wider academic community.
