Darell Lien was a student at Troy High School in the United States when he joined the CCIR Academy. He took part in several student-led leadership programmes, including CASC and the Red Cross summer programme, both of which focus on youth leadership and advocacy. He also attended a Stanford AI summer programme, where he learned core AI concepts and developed his own project. As co-captain of his school’s VEX Robotics team, he led a group of students in designing and building robots for multiple competitions.
Darell’s research paper, The Role of DNA Nanotechnology in Medical Sensing, has been accepted and published by Analytical Methods, a journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry. The paper explores how DNA nanotechnology can be applied to medical sensing, contributing to the development of new analytical techniques in healthcare.
