Jihoon (Christopher) Ryu, a student at Daegu International School in South Korea, has received several honours for his achievements in computer science and scientific research. His accomplishments include recognition in the USACO, American Computer Science League, Korea Science and Engineering Fair, and Korea Olympiad in Informatics.
Jihoon’s research paper, Exploring the Role of the Non-Coding Strand: Antisense Transcription and Gene Regulation, was accepted at the German Conference on Bioinformatics (GCB). The research explores the role of the non-coding strand in antisense transcription and its relationship to gene regulation.
